These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the public website at mindfulnessworldcommunity.org (the "Website"). The Website is operated by BeWell IT Limited ("we", "our", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16095961), on behalf of the Mindfulness World Community ("MWC"), an unincorporated worldwide community of mindfulness and compassion teachers and researchers.

By accessing or using our Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Scope: These Terms apply ONLY to the mindfulnessworldcommunity.org public website. Participation in the MWC community as a member happens on a separate platform called Circle (at mindfulnessworld.community), which is governed by Circle's own terms of service. Any MWC membership or participation terms set by the community are also separate from these Website Terms.

1. Use of the Website

You may use our Website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the Website in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or its infrastructure
• Introduce malicious software, scripts, or code
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or reproduce Website content without permission
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Website
• Impersonate MWC, BeWell IT Limited, any member of the MWC hosting team, or any other individual, or misrepresent your affiliation with us or with the community

2. Intellectual Property

Content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and design, is the property of the Mindfulness World Community or its licensors, unless otherwise indicated. Some content may be contributed by members of the MWC hosting team, guest speakers, or other contributors (for example, quoted messages from Jon Kabat-Zinn, images, or written materials) and may remain the property of those contributors. The underlying Website software, including the design system developed by BeWell IT Limited, is the property of BeWell IT Limited or its licensors. All such content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

• The "Mindfulness World Community" and "MWC" names, together with the MWC logo, are used to identify the community. They may not be used without the community's prior consent, which may be sought via contact@mindfulnessworldcommunity.org
• You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Website content without written permission from the relevant rights holder
• You may share links to pages on this Website for non-commercial purposes

3. Community Membership is Separate

The Website describes the MWC community and explains how to request membership. Please note:

• The Website does not, by itself, enrol you in the community. Membership is handled separately by the MWC hosting team via email, and member activity takes place on the Circle platform at mindfulnessworld.community
• Any membership terms, community guidelines, or Circle platform terms are separate from these Website Terms
• No contractual relationship in respect of community membership is created by your use of the Website or by sending us an enquiry email

4. Information is Not Professional Advice

Content published on the Website is general information about the community and the field of mindfulness and compassion. It is not medical advice, therapy, or professional mental-health care. In particular:

• Content on the Website does not constitute medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, or other professional advice
• The Website is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional, and it does not create a therapeutic relationship between you and any individual member of the community
• You should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of Website content alone, and you should seek appropriate professional advice before making decisions, particularly on matters that may affect your physical or mental health

5. Links to Third-Party Sites

Our Website contains links to external websites and services, including the Circle community platform at mindfulnessworld.community, Zoom (for event registration), and individual members' own organisations. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of third-party websites. We provide these links for convenience only and their inclusion does not imply endorsement.

8. Limitation of Liability

• BeWell IT Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website
• Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Website shall not exceed £100
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law

Liability arising from your participation in the MWC community as a member (for example, on the Circle platform) is not addressed in these Website Terms and is governed separately.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BeWell IT Limited, the Mindfulness World Community, their respective directors, employees, hosting team members, volunteers, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Website.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:

• The "Last Updated" date will be revised
• Material changes will be indicated prominently on this page
• Your continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms
